I remember prank calling people when I was young. But this Dutch teen takes it to a whole new level when she tweets this fake terrorist threat to American Airlines. The 14-year-old girl named Sarah is currently in custody.
Her Twitter account has since been taken down, but before it was, Sarah responded to American Airlines with several tweets including: “omfg I was kidding,” “I’m so sorry I’m scared now,” “I was joking and it was my friend not me, take her IP address,” and “I was kidding pls don’t I’m just a girl pls.” She also tweeted, “I’m just a fangirl pls I don’t have evil thoughts and plus I’m a white girl” and finally, “I always wanted to be famous, but I meant like Demi Lovato famous, not Osama bin laden famous.”
A spokesperson for the Dutch Police told Business Insider, “We’re not in a state that we can communicate any state of charges at this point, we just thought it was necessary to bring this out mostly because of the fact that it caused a great deal of interest on the Internet.”
How long do you ground your child for a fake terrorist threat that garners international attention and an arrest?
